I get to talk with Jodi & the grand kids almost every day. Most often, Jodi will call me almost on the dot at 8 a.m. We talk a bit about what we're going to do that day--mostly something together. Then the kids HAVE TO talk to Grandma which makes me feel all warm & tingly all over. Well, it's great until there's fighting over who gets to talk first & when one does get to talk there's "but I'm not done yet," so there's pushing & shoving, weeping & wailing, & gnashing of teeth. I normally ask each one what they just ate for breakfast, are they watching Sesame Street, if they slept good last night & what did they dream about. Madison pretty much always dreams about her & I doing something (of course, it's probably made up, but heck...makes me feel so special). A few days ago, Maddie said she dreamt of her & I on the golf (Goff) cart, then she "remembered" Olivia was on there, then Shannon & Tyler, & oh yeah, Grandpa, then Kristine (step-Grandma). Man, loaded "Goff" cart & of course I was driving! Wow! Hopefully she didn't dream about the part I envisioned when I turned a corner & Grandpa (my ex) fell off--LOL! Next came Olivia's dream. When I asked her, she dreamt about a "monster." I said, "Oh my gosh! You should dream about nice things like little kittens, (this is before the STUPID coyotes got them!!!) or cute little puppy dogs." Her reply was(insert child's voice of TOTAL disgust here) "Grandma, I didn't dream about 'pee pee bugs!!" I guess she didn't hear puppy dogs correctly, huh?

Ha ha ha! She does that a lot. I think she speaks a different language sometimes, cause she rarely hears what I'm saying to her. When I say "Olivia, clean up that mess", she hears "Olivia, go play with those toys over there, then maybe pick your nose for a second, bug your sister, and then jump on the couch." Funny little stinker.
Let's hear more about the COYOTES - Are they still around? Where's Matt's .22? - Poor little guys, I'll bet the girls were devastated.
Oh, I'm just giggling all the way around it. My kids fight over who gets to talk to grandma first, then they generally have nothing to say when they get their turn... LOL
The goff cart overloaded and ex's falling off was a funny mental image. and the "pee pee bugs" made me LAUGH OUT LOUD!! Jodi's version of what Olivia hears was pretty funny, too. I think my kids hear the same language Olivia does!
