Madison has had 2 sleepovers with me so far & they have been so much fun! I love it when she gets to come over & we watch her favorite movie, whichever it is at the time, we eat junk & play Uno. She LOVES Uno & so I bought a new version that she's going to love. It flys the cards at you when you have to draw a card. Can't wait to see her reaction! She even gets to sleep in her very own "special"
people room & bed (otherwise, as you can see by the picture, I would end up on the floor). She is BEAUTIFUL when she wakes up, don't you think?
Now, my dilema is that Olivia has been upset that she can't have sleepovers yet till she's potty trained. I've always had that as a VERY comforting thought since she hasn't shown ANY desire to try (again, read Jodi's blog & you'll know what I mean). Olivia is my "trial" granddaughter. For as much as I LOVE HER TO DEATH (death??), she pushes the limit. Well, we had our scrapbook group today at my clubhouse & (suck in breath here...) she pottied 3 TIMES ON THE POTTY CHAIR!!! Holding breath...If she wears big girl panties soon, what can my excuse be? I think my brain will explode from the stress--afraid that again she'll color with permanent magic marker on my bedroom door, wall, recliner, file cabinets, toilet seat--yes there has been disdain for my toilet seat also, or peel the laminate from my entertainment center for the third time, or get chocolate all over my new couches, or scream the high pitched scream that rips my ears right off my head, or...do I need to go
on? The funny thing is, she is terrified of my 2 VERY fat cats, just because one of them hisses at her & then run-waddles away. How scarey can a 20 lb. cat that waddles be? Does she look THAT scarey?

No more excuses, Mom, (unless she takes a step backward). I just don't see how you can get out of this. Olivia has a very good memory and she will undoubtedly begin asking about a sleepover soon.
As far as the cat goes, she's ferocious, I tell you, ferocious. Her hiss is very scary and I might just bust a gut laughing the next time she run-waddles at me. Ha!
I think that cat is pretty scary too! She always stares at me weird. Looks like Olivia will be spending the night soon! Maybe you should get started bubble wrapping your house! =0) J.k..
Cheryl,
My fear if you don't have Olivia over... we won't get to read the fun blogs... So just think of it as a journal moment. Hee Hee. If it makes anyone feel any better... My mom had to throw ice cold water in my face at a restaurant when I was 3... my tantrums were that bad... I hope I am better now! LOL...
Smiles,
Sean A'lee
P.S. Now I just throw that water at John! or Brant... or Izaak... It is quite shocking... And funny!
Cheryl,
I saw that you stopped by my page. Thanks! It looks like your sleepover was a fun success. Your page is great and I love reading it. To answer your question on my blog, no I am not bipolar, my husband is. I really like to keep informed and I love the bipolar wellness writer's blog, it's a good read! Keep writing because I love reading your stuff and I totally welcome you coming to mine! Thank you for the compliments on mine, I loved being Madison's preschool teacher, she is a doll.
I wish the my kids' grandparents would invite my kids over for sleepovers. As is stands, after Emily came home at 10pm when she was THREE because she was scared, my mother won't invite her back, and my IL's will only have them over for the night if we ask them to. You're awesome to have them over "just because" and I cant' WAIT to hear some more about Olivia antics. Sounds like she'll make for some good blog entries!!
Your cat sounds rather terrifying in it's hissing waddling ways... LOL
PS Come snoop in my neck of the woods anytime you like (especially if you comment!! ha ha!)
