THE BABY & PSYCHO KITTY

For the last couple (or was it few?? I'm tired...) of months, I've been babysitting a couple of days a week for my friend Vita. She is the twin sister of my friend Rose who took me with her to Ukraine in October--another story I'll tell later. Anyway, Vita's baby Brian is 9 months old & he's a doll! He's had a VERY difficult time deciding he should sleep in his crib instead of sleeping with Mom & Dad. Other than the sleeping problem, he's a GREAT baby to watch! Well, I'm soooo excited to report that today he slept 1 1/4 hrs. in his crib this morning & only cried for 10 min. before falling asleep. (Much better than when he would cry really hard for 45 min. before it just broke my heart & he ended up in the swing where he would fall asleep immediately.) Then, this afternoon, he fell asleep eating lunch--LOL! (By the way babies DO NOT LIKE babyfood Mac & Cheese! I'm telling ya right now, DO NOT give it to them!) I put him in his crib, he cried for less than 5 min. & slept for 3 HOURS!! (Of course, I found out later he had his Hib vaccination on Tues. so that might be contributing to the sleeping.--hey whatever, we'll take it!) Anyway, the sleeping in the crib part is AWESOME because if you only knew...when I first started babysitting him, he slept at the most for 1/2 hr. He'd fall asleep drinking his bottle or on my shoulder, but the minute I'd put him in his crib, he would jerk awake & that's all she wrote buster! Vita was beside herself & so frustrated.

And then...because Vita wasn't frustrated enough...she got her husband (Brian Sr.) a baby kitten for his birthday. (They already have an adult cat named Rosie.) Named this one Ann for some reason, but I call her "Psycho Kitty." She came to their home a little young--mother nowhere to be found. So, in addition to Vita struggling with a new baby, she had to hand feed the kitten with a dropper no less! LOL! Don't get me wrong, this kitten is so cute! Not the brightest in the bunch, but cute & loveable. She goes up to Brian & lets him swing her by the tail, grab her, etc. I say if she loses the tail, her fault, huh? It was funny today, she had 3 time-outs! A kitten getting time-outs! She kept getting right up to the baby & as kittens do...scratch, nip, etc. Her teeth are so sharp you could sew with them babies! She can't be declawed yet because she's still too young. She grabbed onto Brian's arm with all 4 legs (arms & legs? what do you call them?) & he just waved his arm up & down. "Psycho" just held on! Funniest thing I've seen in quite a while, except that poor Brian was getting scratched. Time out. Then, after Brian slept for 3 hours, he had a MASSIVE blowout if you know what I mean, so I changed his clothes & then when we were leaving the room, I turned around & who is in Brian's crib looking all innocent? "Psycho Kitty"!
This is "Psycho Kitty" FINALLY worn out after running aimlessly, jumping, tormenting their other cat (boy does that one tell the baby cat off!), running more, etc. "Psycho" likes Cookie Monster & Brian likes Elmo.

Oh, Cute! That cat reminds me of someone...who could it be? Hmm, oh yeah! Olivia!

Baby Brian sounds like a cutie. We might have to stop by sometime while you're babysitting and see the cute little guy (now that Madison will be out of preschool).

I think you're a frustrated Mom. You think your Grand Babies are the best, now it's the little guy.

Glad you finally have your life in order.

Well,
I was going to say maybe Kitty and Olivia need to get together for a play date... but I won't since Jody already kind of stole the moment already. hee Hee.
I guess we each have to have our wild ones in our lives... I don't want to dicuss who is mine.

Smiles,
