I'M OBSESSED

I have always been the first to admit that I'm slightly (ok, not slightly--overwhelmingly) obsessive. (I truly have OCD.) Anyway, needless to say I get something in my mind & can't shake it off till I do something about it, even if it's dumb. (83.5% of the time it's dumb.) Anyway, my most recent obsession is how much money do the cast members on "Amazing Race" or "Survivor" get paid??? Does that question bug anyone else? I've tried before to get the answer, but drove myself crazier because I couldn't find the answer ANYWHERE!! I have a DVR (TiVo equivalent) so it even bugs me so much that I will pause in the middle of one of those shows to check the internet again, trying to rephrase my question on any number of the search engines to find the "ultimate answer" (at least for this current obsession). Well...I HAVE SUCCEEDED in getting a much better answer than I have ever done before & thought just maybe someone else would like to know too. For those of you who care, here it is, according to recent info--CBS won't confirm. For SURVIVOR (the one I'm obsessed about right now because it just ended): Winner gets $1,000,000 (we all knew that), 2nd gets $100,000 (we all knew that too), 3rd $85,000, 4th $70,000, 5th $55,000, 6th $45,000, 7th $35,000, 8th $27,500, 9th $20,000, 10th $15,000, 11th $10,000, 12th $7,500, 13th $5,500 & then they decrease by $1,000 on down to 16th place. Don't know what they do beyond that. I was "amazed" to know that 2nd place in AMAZING RACE only gets $25,000 when the winners get $1,000,000! That's a BIG difference! Anyway, hope that clears it up for those of you who were losing sleep!
