Man, I blew it...again! Last night Jodi, Shannon, & I were IM'ing each other & talking about what else? The high price of gas? The monsoon we're having? Who we're going to vote for? No. Those are all important topics, but not as important as...
CHOCOLATE!!
We were talking about the "triggers" of when we eat chocolate, like "your time of the month," being female, or my favorite: just thinking about it. Do you know how hard it is for me to decide when it's my "time of the month?" I've had a partial hysterectomy for crying out loud. So, the "studies" tell us that women crave CHOCOLATE more during that time. Well, apparently for many women, including myself, all month is "my time of the month!" My trigger this time was just the IM'ing about CHOCOLATE! I've been trying to be "good" to lose some weight, but after thinking about CHOCOLATE for over 2 hours after IM'ing, I found myself in the kitchen with a "couple" of Double Stuff Oreo cookies & a glass of milk. Not completely CHOCOLATE, but I was cool
with it because I could have a CHOCOLATE cookie & something else sweet too. Wow, I guess I've been trying to be "good" for a while because I forgot that the "double stuff" part of the cookie is just a bunch of Crisco with a lot of powdered sugar in. After two cookies, I felt so guilty about eating all that sweet Crisco, that I had to raid my CHOCOLATE shelf of my fridge (yes, a whole shelf devoted strictly to CHOCOLATE--my whole family can attest to that one) & ended up eating a couple of Kit Kats!
Yes, guilt is another trigger! The craving has temporarily subsided...until I proofread this.

Naughty, naughty! Shame on you!
Not really. I had to have a HUGE glass of chocolate milk after that IM-ing session. And by chocolate milk, I mean chocolate, chocolate, chocolate milk (measure the amount of chocolate powder you're supposed to have, and triple it before stirring into the milk).
When I was pregnant with the girls, that's the only thing that would help my morning sickness, all day sickness, nausea crap that I had. Yep. That's right, a HUGE glass of chocolate milk helped my nausea.
Poop! Now I need to go drink some more. Stinker!
well well looks like we all caved in last night! I had some oreo peanut butter ice cream pie with cool whip & chocolate syrup drizzle... ohh Im craving chocolate again just thinking about it! YUM!
My 2 year old has a chocolate milk addiction. SHe is asking for the stuff from the miniute her eyes open in the morning until she is forced into bed at night... I can't imagine where she got that from... lol. I know the feeling though, gotta love the stuff!! I use the hershey syrup though, much better that way, and you can't cheep out and get generic, it doesn't mix as well, taste as good, or stay mixed... lol.
By the way... where is the story about the bedroom remodel?!
Bedroom remodel story coming...I had trouble dyeing bedside tablecloth, but I think I have it. I wanted to get everything finished for good pics.
Great post - really funny! I have no willpower when it comes to food cravings. I love chocolate and lots of other temptations too. For me it doesn't matter what time of the month either, or what season, stage of life, ugh. I just love to eat darn it!
Chocolate really is the best. I know a few people who don't like chocolate and I just don't understand it. I looove Oreo's, and homemade choc. chip cookies. Those are my most often eaten desserts(and day time snack, and sometimes breakfast).
If I had a chocolate shelf, it would be an empty one (because I'd have devoured every last bit of chocolate...). I can't have things like that in my house very often because I have NO WILLPOWER! Chips fall into that category, too.
